Riley is interested in deep research of self and communication through movement. Disciplined in a variety of movement languages, Riley thrives in collaboration with artists of diverse backgrounds to create worlds of artistic freedom and expression. As a creator, her interests lie in contemporary and dance theater work with a strong sense of storyline- not necessarily narrative. A dream of hers is to collaborate with composers, actors, playwrights, and movement artists to develop an evening length contemporary dance theater work in the world of marionettes and mirrors, exploring power dynamics and control.
